Success for Steephill at Bromley Festival

Fantastic results for Steephill at the Bromley Festival 2016.  

Amber and Natalie came 3rd place with Honours in the Vocal Duet. Molly came 4th with Honours in the Show Songs section. Simar got a Merit for Verse and Aniketh came 3rd place for Verse. Jasmine and Tara came 3rd place with Honours in the Mime Duo. 

Alizeh came in 2nd place, Honours with 85 marks for her poem It’s Dark in Here; Meera and Emily came joint 2nd place, Honours with 86 who both read from Madame Pamplemousse and her Incredible Edibles; Ishwar got a Merit, 83 marks and Vishnu came in 2nd place, Honours and 86 marks for their reading from Football Academy; Arjan got a Merit, 83 marks and Tanay got Honours 84 marks - both read from The Hollow Boy; Simar got Honours, 86 marks and Aniketh got a Distinction and 90 marks and the Joyce Stevens Bowl as the overall winner from almost 60 competitors - both read from The Golem’s Eye.

Jasmine was the Winner of the Stratfordian Alexandra Trophy for Musical Theatre Solo with her performance from Alice in Wonderland. Steephill School Musical Theatre Group were winners of the Statfordian Bickley Shield for their scene from Annie the Musical.

Om got a Merit and 80 marks and Meera came in 2nd place with Honours and 89 marks for her poem Missing. Tara came in 3rd place with Honours and 87 marks for her poem Interrogation in the Nursery and Dhruv came in 3rd place, with Honours and 85 marks for Mafia Cats. 

And we mustn't forget Mrs Saul who won two gold medals, one for a folk song and the other for a vocal duet with Karen Kennedy (parent of a former Steephill pupil)!
