I chose Spring because it was religious which interested me and short, so it was not so hard to learn. My favourite part is when the the glassy pear tree leaves and blooms.
I found out more about this poem: Hopkins singles out Spring for description and praise since he feels that it is the time of year that brings mankind closest to harmony of man and nature (and God) that existed in the biblical Garden of Eden. Hopkins praises nature in its various earthly aspects is, for our speaker, also a way of praising God, the creator.
