Today, I Feel, by Gervaise Phinn

Title: Today I feel….

By: Gervase Phinn

I chose this poem because it used many different ways of describing someone’s mood and emotions. I thought that I could use different expressions and different tones of voice in order to make the audience feel the different moods and expressions through the poem. I thought it would be interesting to try to describe a word by the way I said it. The poem uses lots of similes and I liked the way the poem flowed.

Today, I Feel is a great poem, lively one, reading it is fun! I find everyday objects in this poem and can feel like them. The bouncy nature of life, surrounded by lively animals, insects, plants and familiar things are used to express my feelings throughout the day.

This poem is brilliant for people who are any age. When it is read aloud, people could feel a mixed amount of emotions and is also funny at the end. If you are bored, what  I would do is read this poem so I  can learn more similes and feel very cheerful. Overall, I think this poem is one of my favourites!
